Appalling Service

I am terribly shook by the gutter service which was provided to me by a Zando courier service. I had placed my order, excitedly with a voucher which I had been awarded with by my boss, and my order was succesful.

Order # ********** 66

placed on 22 September 2016 02:40.

On Wednesday the 28th of September,I then received whatsapp messages from a lady who claimed to be responsible for delivering my package, and she asked for directions to my address in order for them to deliver on the next day, which would be the 29th September at 8 AM.

I was surprised that I was being contacted in my personal capacity (whatsapp) to get directions to my address, which was clearly placed on my order, and I am sure that a GPS navigator would have been able to locate my address,as per my previous online purchase deliveries. The lady re-itterated that she would call me around 8AM on the next day to have my parcel delivered.

I waited for the call on the next day,and no call was made and no text message was sent- instead the delivery lady sent me whatsapp messages, which I only saw in the evening, due to a bad internet connection with my service provider. I was terribly upset,as she did not call as she had promised, and I was also extremely upset that instead of sending me text messages, she sent me whatsapp messages which was totally unacceptable,as whatsapp is a social means of communication, used amongst friends and acquaitances, definitely not for business purposes.

The lady then deliberately **** and said she had tried calling me the whole day,and she was cheeky enough to mention that she would not be delivering my package, she was sending it back to the warehouse.

This was my fisrt purchase with Zando, and I am so disappointed with the horrible service I received with my very first encounter with them. They should invest on working with a good courier company, not an unproffesional courier service, which uses unprofessional means of communication and has no approach when dealing with customers.

My heart sank when I checked the tracking of my order online, and saw that it was marked as "package could not be delivered- delivery attempted". This is false. No delivery was attempted! Is a whatsapp message considered as a delivery attempt? I am completely frustrated and I would like this to be looked into, and the delivery lady/service to be investigated. I would also like some sort of compensation for this huge inconvenience,as I was expecting my package to be here before the weekend, and I made sure that I was at home to receive it.
