Bullies owners, can't control tenants AVOID THIS COMPANY

Yvonne Nathan Real Estate is quick to address incidents like a carpet hung outside once to dry or an owner distributing a notice within the complex of their missing cat (which by the way I consider utterly unreasonable and inhumane of this company to criticize).

Last weekend we have been subjected to 1. convoys of cars revving after 01:00 at night, 2. music pumping loudly, 3. seemingly never-ending conversations of groups of people congregating in the parking lot, 4. three men relieving themselves in the car park, shrieking, laughing 5. and a ******* trail of cigarette butts, discarded fast-food packages and alcohol cans left in their wake. These parties start in the afternoon and continue well within the wee hours of the morning. This persistent problem with noise pollution and general dirt in the complex remains an ongoing, recurring problem which has not been clamped down upon in any way at all. The same cigarette butts, leaves and food wrappers often sit in the same spot for days if not a week without being cleaned up.

Where is the cleaning staff in all this? Where is the security? Do they not have regular rounds to be done all over the complex? Why should we as owners have to go around taking pictures of the ******* to advise Yvonne Nathan that the Matrix is filthy? Why should we as owners have to risk confrontation to get up in the middle of the night to try and quiet down drunken groups of dozens of people and find which apartment these tenants (as it is always tenants never owners who make themselves guilty of behaving like Neanderthals) are coming from?

Their property management responsibilities extends beyond notices of an unexpected water outage. (We live there, we know when the water is out and their emails noting that no restoration time is known is of no help at all.)

It is unacceptable that we pay fees for their services but receive retaliation when we dare to complain. In both instances where we complained we received notices within a few days warning us of a bin outside our door or the carpet hung on the balcony to dry. Yvonne's response (only once, other complaints were ignored) was that "You must realise that you live in a communal environment and it is difficult to keep everyone quiet. This is the disadvantage of living in a sectional title development with so many units. We have no mandate to deal directly with tenants so owner are aware of what is going on in their units and it is up to owners to take responsibility to ensure that trangressors are dealt with. I will add that this is not a reflection of my ability to manage an estate if people are in the common property and make a noise. If you have a disturbance which you are not happy with, it is your legal right to calls the SAPS to attend and you are welcome to do so at any time."

Lastly, we complained about a paint company's hideously branded and dirty advertising boards at the complex in the past. We paid for the paint job, it wasn't a barter, yet the ad board was put back up at the complex entrance just a few months later. A company that did a poor job - getting paint all over our outdoor furniture and damaging our front door lock and closing the front door before the paint was dry leaving peeling paint all around the frame.

We will be moving and we will never do it to ourselves to stay in an estate this lot (mis)manages.
