Frustrated!!!

I was debited twice but for them to reverse the funds it's a long frustrating process, they asked for bank statements and ID copies,,,,then expect payment in 3 to 5 business days which I don't have!!!I've run out of electricity and water in the house, had to borrow money just for other debits not to bounce which is bad for me.My question is,,why is it easy to debit but difficult to reverse?This does not help my financial standing but makes it worse!!
