I commenced with Yellow data in the middle of 2016 for an amount of R69.00. Each month they debit my account with the amount. In December an amount of ±R350 was debited from my account supposedly because I used more data than what I was provided with. I wish to mention that I purchased the additional data at out of bundle fees, so I cannot for the life of me understand why they would charge me for data that I have already paid for.

When returing from holiday I phoned YellowData and they informed me as aforesaid. I was very unhappy about this and consequently cancelled the agreement. I received confirmation (by way of sms) of my cancellation on the 5th of January 2017.

At the end of January 2017 YellowData debits my account with R69.00

At the end of February 2017 YellowData debits my account with R69.00

I phone YellowData again and enquire why they debited my account in February when I cancelled the agreement in January. Allegedly the debit order never went through in January. I sadly accepted this as the lady informed me that after February (end March) they will not debit any money from my account.

At the end of March 2017 YellowData debits my account with R69.00. I reverse this debit order.

At the end of April 2017 YellowData debits my account with R69.00. Once again I phone Yellow Data on the 2nd of May 2017. First I speak with a Jacqueline who hangs up the phone after ± 15 seconds.

I phone again and speak with a Sifiso. Sifiso informs me that the agreement has indeed been cancelled and I should provide them with proof of payment and they will attend to investigate.

I find this utterly unacceptable. Now I have to go to the bank and request 4 months' bank statements in order to prove that they have debited my account without authorisation.

Yellowdata is a bunch of ******. STAY AWAY.
