Yaga Makes Simple Transactions Unnecessarily Difficult

Yaga has some of the worst user experience decisions I’ve ever come across.

The biggest issue, by far, is that buyers cannot cancel their own orders. Why? If I’ve changed my mind before the item has been completed, I should be able to cancel it myself. Instead, I have to rely on the seller to do it. That makes absolutely no sense and leaves buyers with no control over their own purchases.

The second, and even bigger, problem is the “Mark as Received” system.

If I’ve physically collected my parcel from the locker, the app already knows it’s been collected. Why on earth isn’t the order automatically marked as received?

Instead, buyers are forced to message people over and over, asking them to press one button. Some sellers take days. Some take weeks. Some simply ignore you completely. Meanwhile, your money is tied up and the transaction sits unfinished because someone couldn’t be bothered to tap a button.

This is not a rare issue. It’s one of the biggest complaints about the platform, yet nothing seems to be done about it. The solution is incredibly obvious: once the parcel has been collected from the locker, the app should automatically update the order status or automatically start the completion process. The technology clearly exists because the locker already knows the parcel has been collected.

It’s frustrating, unprofessional, and creates unnecessary conflict between buyers and sellers.

Yaga has built a marketplace that depends far too much on users doing manual tasks that should be automated. Instead of making customers chase each other, fix the system.

Until these basic problems are addressed, the platform will continue creating unnecessary frustration for its users.
