User-friendly, great sales figures and excellent customer care
The Yaga platform has been life-changing for me because I love good qualtity clothes, but I feel guilty to get rid of anything to freshen up my wardrobe. I started selling my "like new" used clothes on Yaga in 2021, and to date I've sold 179 items! The app is super user friendly and I feel safe transacting here. Money gets paid into my bank account with one click. Never had any issues with that. Out of my 179 sales I once had a bad experience with a buyer, and customer care was on it immediately and resolved the issue. I've reported at least three potential ****mers who tried to transact outside Yaga, and always had a swift reply from customer care. So yes, they are there, but you cannot get ****med if you transact within the app. I've also been shopping up a storm, buying brands I could not afford. I love pure wool and cashmere, and I've bought a brand new cashmere coat for a mere R200! And lots more... All I don't like, is that Yaga shifted the commission, that they understandably need to keep the platform going, to the buyers. As a seller I'm super happy to pay the commission; I see it as "rent" for my online shop, and it seems only fair to pay rent. Another negative: There are too many spam hashtags. I search for "merino wool", and I get plastic shoes! So annoying. I have since opened a second shop where I sell brand new samples from my photo shoot, and all these proceeds go to animal charity. I've had a 107 sales here, I've paid over R10 000 to animal charity, going strong, and Yaga makes it so easy for anyone to have a fully functional online shop.
