Y5 Systems – Accredited DSTV Installer - Poor Service

They say you must be careful when using **** or "so called" DSTV – Accredited installers but it is also true when using real Accredited installers.

I purchased a Price Plan + Installation Kit from DSTV and they advised me to go on their Site and select a Accredited installer. I obviously looked at the nearest installer and chose Y5 systems - Kuilsriver.

I was so disappointed in the service that I have decided to cut my losses and move on. After installing my new LNB, the installer removed the old Smart LNB and took it with him. After i saw that he had left nothing behind I contacted him and he returned and gave me an LNB. After he left I only checked the LNB and then realised that the LNB is not mine, it was old rusted and broken, I know this as I still have the casing and checked the serial number.

At this time he had already left and I then called him and his offices with no answer.

3 days later, I got hold of the owner (Hennie) and explained to him the situation and he then explained that the installer must have forgotten which LNB was mine...this did not sit well and I requested to go and collect my original Smart LNB.

At this point, Hennie said, he will bring it himself the next day. The next had gone and he did not pitch. I called from the 17th of December to the 23rd, and only once did he pick up, other than that the phone kept on ringing and the time he did pick up, he said they were busy with other clients and he will do it the following day. Then 23 December 2019 the offices were officially closed, I did not hear from him ever since.

Be careful with these type of accredited installers, they are taking shortcuts and taking what does not belong to them.

I dont want the LNB back, keep it.
