********* Car Mechanic Business

The owner of this place is called Steve. Our car a Peugot 207 was standing there for 3 month's and we kept getting told that we getting our car back at a certain date. We got told we need to buy a new engine which we paid R10000 for. Sanette from xtreme auto service assured us that it was the correct one and that we would have our car back within a week. After 3 weeks of excuse's we got told it was in fact the wrong engine and the engine was swopped for another one and we were again assured with phone calls and whatsapp messages by Sanette that it was the correct engine and that we were getting our car back within a week.This went on for another month and we were told that we had to buy a new computer box for the car which we needed to pay cash to sanette. Sanette told us shouldn't do an eft because they weren't going to put it through the books.She even said to me that she doesnt want to give me an invoice as they are not going to put it through the books. We Paid for the computer box and then another 2 weeks went by and I was told a peugot technician was going to do the wiring for the car as they dont know how. The day before I was to collect the car I was told that they cant get hold of the peugot technician and they cant give my car back to me unless it was 100 percent correct. We went to go and have a look at the car and it was in exactly the same condition that it was in when we dropped the car. They had done nothing to the car and the engine was still sitting one side untouched. The original engine inside the car had been taken apart by my husband when we dropped the car and they had this thrown in the back seat of the car on plastic, oil marks all over the seats. We requested to move our car as all we got was lies and excuses and sent a tow truck with the new mechanic to collect the car. They refused to let us take the car without paying an amount for an hours labour but they had done nothing but make us pay money in good faith unnecessarily for parts that they didn't even use. We had to go back after a fight to collect other parts of the car that was missing. when my husband went to go and fetch these parts the owner steven was there and all he said after speaking to him was that they don't work on peugot's!yet our car had been sitting there for 3 month's and I kept getting phonecalls and whatsapp messages about the 'progress' of our car. Do not use these people they are ************ and ***** and its not the first person they have done this to! and the owner takes no accountability for his lying incompetant staffs actions. We are in the process of a case with a lawyer and reporting this business to the oumansbud.
