Xquisite Creations - NO DRESS, NO REFUND

I made use of the dress making services of Xquisite Creations based in the Kuils River area, for my daughter's matric ball dress, Quote confirmed on 18 July 2023, paid the deposit for the dress on the 01 August 2023 and had to follow up constantly to get fitting appointments thereafter. The owner does not priortise customers or take pride in her work. The two fittings we had, the last one, 2 days before the matric ball (29 September 2023) was shocking. The sewing was really bad, she ruined the material and the dress did not fit my daughter at all. This caused emotional distress for my daughter and myself as this was an important milestone for her. She promised to fix the dress and deliver early afternoon the next day, she then postponed to the evening. I advised that I was going to look for a back-up and she advised that she would then refund my money. I then was forced to run out and buy a dress costing me again. When I asked for my refund she was only willing to pay less than a third and when I did not agree, I was told the offer is off the table and advised of her rights in terms of POPIA and legal recourse if I shared my experience with others. So I've paid R3600 and received no dress and no refund. I need to share this as I hope that this does not happen to anyone else!!!!
