Classic Chinese product cliche -no replacement part

So I got their TV box and a year later the charger stops working. I stay in Johannesburg north and I go to incredible connections hifi corp guess what? there's no replacement charger . So I decided tlet me check with the Xiaomi store in Sandton obviously the manufacturer has the "power chord" alas they don't! Who sells a TV box without the replacement cable?! The store itself says i should buy another TV box to get the charger!
