Deposit solicited for balustrade, then provider remains elusive

This business Wulf Iron Work, is run by Dewald Koekemoer, previously situated at 302 Albert Road, Woodstock, Cape Town. He quoted in early July for a balcony balustrade , an ornamental burglar window, and a metal table; he visited twice (once with delays because of a transport issue) to measure up, and finalise designs. During this time, he (or Yvette Koekemoer) pushed hard for the deposit to lodge the job card. I paid a deposit but understand that by then, the premises had already been vacated. He has continued to string me along, but was evasive regarding photos of progress. I have sent a Letter of Demand (Small Claims Court process) to his WhatsApp and email: he has not acknowledged or signed for it and I have no address for him. A recent email says he is appointed to deliver the goods tomorrow 23 August (no time has been arranged), but I believe this is just in order to say that his WhatsApp is not working, ie he has not received the Letter of Demand. I can see that he is Online at various intervals, so this is not true. This is not a business to be trusted. Regards Lucy Alexander
