Negligence
<p>I am a regular customer of Wrap and Pack and am highly disspaointed by the service I received from one of the staff members, Gershwin.</p> <p> </p> <p>On Friday, 17/06, I needed to print an Edible Icing Sheet for a birthday cake I had to make for Sa****ay and took my flashdrive into the shop at around 1:05pm , with the picture set up to print Landscape on a WORD document. On my flashdrive was my daughter's 1st Birthday Party photo's that I had just downloaded along with my husband and my CV as well as a folder with all my music on it. When I handed the flashdrive to Gershwin, I asked him to print the WORD document that is named WRAP AND PACK, while I went to get a few other things in the shop. I recall that he took quite a while before bringing my print and flashdrive back to me. When he finally came to the front of the shop, he asked me again, how I wanted the edible print printed after I had just told him to print it as is, as I have already set up the DOC from my side. This clearly tells me that he wasn't listening to me or paying attention.</p> <p>A few minutes passed by, when he finally came to the front with my print and flashdrive. I then left the shop, and went back to my workplace, to make use of my personal docs , only to discover that all my files have been deleted/formatted. I immediately called the shop back and asked to speak to Gershwin to tell him what he had done, and he denied formatting my flashdrive or deleting anything from it.</p> <p> </p> <p>I know for a fact that he **** to me, because I use the flashdrive everyday and use it in my vehicle as well. . I was promised a callback and that the Manager would "look into " the matter for me. Up until now, I still never received a callback from the Manager or Gershwin. This is pathetic service, and if any shop is in the business of printing anything from a flashdrive, surely they should have a backup server, or else they should not be in the business of printing ANYTHING!</p> <p> </p> <p>Downloading my photo's took me quite a while, and trying to recover them will be quite difficult. What about all my personal information? What about the memories of my daughter's 1st birthday ????</p> <p> </p> <p>Not even a courtesy call with an explaination as to what happened ?????</p> <p> </p>
It has been almost a week now, and I have still not had any phone call from Wrap and Pack. I sent an email on the 22/6 to follow up on my query, and have only received a reply today 23/6, stating that there was no evidence that my personal information and pictures was deleted by them, after me explaining that I use my flashdrive everyday and used it on that morning of the 17th, and just before my lunchtime, which was 1pm, when I went into the shop on the 17th. In other words, they are calling me a **** .... According to Wrap and Pack, my documents would have gone into their Recycle Bin if inadvertently this was done.
So this clarifies then that they do not have a back-up server , so in the event of their computer systems crashing, they would not be able to recover any information as a company or for clients, like myself who often make use of their printing service. This is the first time that my documents and personal files have been deleted, but not the first time that I printed an edible print from my flashdrive. What confuses me, is that the last time I printed an edible print , by the same person at the shop, my files were all there, this time round my files are all gone and the staff member, Gershwin blatantly refuses to have formatted my flashdrive or having deleted it.
I am disgusted with the service that i have received from Wrap and Pack Retreat and will NOT recommend anyone to print ANYTHING at the shop!
