I see all the bad reviews but in my recent experience with WWAS, you just need to know who to speak to in order to get your claim processed to finalization (hints are riddled in the bad reviews below).
They have a max. 21-work day turnaround time from date of claim submission (mine was for theft) and I can confidently say they stuck to it.
Just be ready to follow up weekly and hear that “your claim is under assessment” for two weeks or so.
You just have to be extremely patient.
Claim for theft summarized:
1. Gathered all required documentation and lodged claim myself via email. 2. WWAS acknowledged receipt via an automated email response. 3. Waited a week and followed up via a call (have your latest invoice ready in order to provide them with answers to their security questions) 4. Followed up every week on the same day. 5. In the final week, I called again and was told of an excess payment (they usually send an SMS or/and email stating that my claim was approved and the excess amount as well as the payment details). 6. Made immediate payment of the excess amount and sent proof of payment. 7. The day after that I confirmed the delivery address via email, once they acknowledged receipt of payment. 8. The next day, I received a call from WWAS informing me that since the very same model of the device I lost due to theft is available, it is what I will get, just in a slightly different colour and that it will be dispatched on the same day to the courier, and lastly that I will receive it the following day at the selected delivery address (they usually would have taken 5 to 7 working days).
