Being charged R328 768.71 for 1 employee
<p>I am running a small business as a sole proprietor with 1 employee. My statement from workman's compensation was R900 and R990 for 2012 and 2013 respectively. In March 2017 I received an account for R328,768.71 and I still have 1 employee. I am on turnover tax as my turnover is below a million a year. I tried to query this for several months and their phones in JHB and Durban is always engaged and if I get through then the phone just dies. Finally I got the email address and sent several email and this was their response. I went to their offices in Durban and no help. • NB! Affidavit must be made in front of the Commissioner of Oath or Police Official by the owner, member of Close Corporation or director (as listed on CIPC documents, copy of which must be attached) of the business. o Indicate UIF, SARS and CF reference number o Sworn affidavit from anyone working for the company or affirmed by employer’s accountant or any one working for the company will not be accepted. o NB! Ensure that sworn stamp/phrase on affidavit is used by the commissioner of oath or police official (it must not be a certifying stamp). • Audited Financial Statements / Independently reviewed • Detailed Payroll Report • UIF number of the business (Unemployment Insurance Fund) • SARS document ( EMP 501) • Power of Attorney (Consultants, bookkeepers, accountants, auditors and attorneys) • W.as. 8 to declare the correct earnings I got all the above certified and sent it to them and they rep**** with the following: Kindly note that the information supp**** on the email below is incomplete. You are therefore requested to submit all the documents mentioned below including the documents attached on the original email. The required documents are as follows: • An affidavit made by the owner, partners, member of Close Corporation or director of the business to request the office for a recalculation of an Assessment. o Reasons must be supp**** for incorrect declarations • Audited Financial Statements / Independently reviewed • Detailed Payroll Report • SARS document ( EMP 501) If the required documents are not submitted, we will be unable to process your query. I resent the latest request certified at the police station with my rubber stamp on 1/08/2017 Till date I have not received a reply. Please help me if you can as I am getting stressed with this problem or advise me what I can do to sort this problem.</p>
