Refund from Workers life

I had a dispute with workers life for a claim that was rejected last year when my Aunt passed on.Had to seek for legal representative it took a year for the dispute to be concluded based on the investigations.It was concluded that workers life must refund me all the premiums from 2016 till last year September.Have emailed them my bank statement and now am told I have to wait for a month to get my REFUND BACK?I find this very unacceptable and outrageous for them to make soo long to pay me.
