Don't wanted to paid the funeral benefit

Good day I'm Mr De jager Rowan had an funeral policy with workersife since I start working at the department of correctional services. I cancelled my membership but still had the funeral benefit and legal benefit. I also had 3 claims with them in 2020 but now with the claim of my mother in law they said I first must rejoin them in order for them to paid out the benefits.
