You gotta be kidding me!!!!!!!
I need to start of by stating that Woolies Food is supposed to a premuim brand and associated with that, there is a cost.
I went and bought 2 packets of chiecken kebabs for a braai. n Packet 1 was 6 kebabs and had a weight of 650 g Packet 2 was 10 kebabs (of exactly the same flavor) and had a weight of 1.1kg
When I removed the 6 kebebas from the packet and I would estimate that 95% of each skewer had meat on. On performing the same with the packet of 10, the first skewer had 1 piece of chicken. I made the assumption (as I have seen it before) that the chicken had slipped of the skewer. As I removed each of the remaining skewers the kebab with the most chicken was covered by about 50%. There was a second skewer with only 2 pieces of choicken. I took a fork and started looking for the additional chicken to place on the skewers but the packet was empty.
I took out a pen and paper thinking that perhaps the weight on each of the packets was different and to my surprise the average weight per kekbab should have been 108.3 grames. The reverse calculation is that 10 kebabs should weigh 1.083kg. I can definatelivle say that they amount of sauce in the big packet was 3, if not 4, times the quanitity of the smaller packet.
If this is the "value" that is paid for premium food, I certainly will never set foot into a Woolworths Food store again.
