WW not cottoning on to chinos

So I need a new pair of chinos - no problem, go to Woolworths and get my usual pair. Ummm... Problem, none in my size for the style I want. Canal Walk, Pinelands, N1 City and wherever and whenever I happen to pass a store I check - NO STOCK. This lasts a few months, price increases nicely from R350 to R400 (that's almost 15%), still no stock. So I ask Pinelands to put in an order for me - it might take a month or so but this usually works quite well otherwise. 2 months go by - no call. I pop in and ask - they correct the style, but confirm there are none available, but hey, surely stock comes in on a regular basis, right? WRONG! It must be going on for 4 months now, and more that 6 months since I originally started looking. From what I can see, they have stock of every other size on the PLANET, but not my size. The staff at the branches seem to know that this size is a problem, obviously because it is so popular, but Woolworths can't know that, as they never sell any. Ummmm... hang on, maybe that's because they have NO STOCK!?! Woolworths - what is the problem here? In the many years I have bought my chinos from WW, it is usually a struggle, the last time I walked in and found my size on the rack (this is going back years of course), I almost choked, whether from shock or pleasant surprise I can't recall. AND, it's not because I am some 8 foot giant, all I'm looking for is a 32 waist, 74 inside leg - that's AVERAGE build guys, A V E R A G E, (OK, well I think it's average, and so do all the other guys looking for this size, even if my 16 year old son will overtake me in the next year). So what is WW going to do about this -rise the price again to R450 before they get in more stock? Or must I just give up and go to Edgars - a quick check a few weeks back indicate they have no problem with my size, and the price is a mere R250!! The only catch is they don't have a crease resistant version, but I might have to go this route before I end up walking around chino-less.
