WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - MANAGEMENT BERNARD CANAL WALK

Worst experience I ever had at a Woolworths store. Earlier today, I did some top up shopping at Woolworths Canal Walk. My husband purchased some cheese and spinach puffs at the bakery and offered me one as I did not have any breakfast and since I am a low blood sufferer, I took a bite by removing my mask and immediately lifting it over my mouth and nose. In addition, I also suffer with a very low immune system hence the reason why I remained in doors for a very long period. Bernard the Food Manager that was at the coffee shop addressed me in the utmost disrespectful, arrogant and showed no empathy. He raised his voice to a point where customers stopped and looked our way and with his stern voice he told me that the store does not allow any eating or drinking whilst he was standing with his cup of coffee in his hand. He insulted me by asking me in front of other customers if I knew that COVID has been around since March 2019. After his little tantrum, I spoke to another employee that stood by the coffee shop asking her who he is because I was shocked by the treatment I received. Another customer that passed by when the incident occurred stopped and told me that I did the right thing and that he takes his hat off for me as Bernard did not have the right to address me in such a manner in the store. I then asked the employee to call Bernard back as I needed to inform him that the manner in which he addressed me was not that of customer service. He returned and displayed the same arrogance as before not allowing me to get a word in edgewise. Ive been a loyal customer to this specific store for the past 16 years and ive never ever been so traumatized and humiliated at any given stage and that in front of other customers. Before Bernard addresses any other customers, he needs to be sent for Customer Service Training as he clearly has a BAD reflection on the Woolworths Brand. If a customer is seen with any sort of injury, disability etc, the Management Team of Woolworths Canal Walk should address them with some sort of empathy, sympathy and RESPECT!
