Worsf service at Woolworths N1 City Store

I have never been mistreated the way I was at Woolworths N1 City store. I bought shoes from them and I wore them immediately, I then later felt pains and I was getting blisters on my feet I think that was 2 hours of wearing the shoes, and I was really in pains. I then went to the store to inform them about this and a lady that I was reffered to was very angry and at that time I'm in pains I cant even walk properly due to these blisters, she told me that the shoes are selling and there's nothing wrong with the shoes and that what do I expect them to do because I've already worn the shoes and I should've at least walked on a carpet, like really? we now have to choose where to walk with Woolworths shoes but they are all about quality? how shocking! Ok I didn't say anything I just waited for her as she said she's checking with her manager.

She came back and told me that they are just doing Goodwill for me because the supplier will not take the shoes back, I mean really what does Goodwill has anything to do with returning their faulty shoes? Should I continue wearing shoes that are giving me blisters? I mean I'm a Retail Management Graduate and I do know the ins and outs of retailing.

While the lady is still fuming with anger, she instructs one of the cashiers to give me refund and so the worse part of the story I used my card when I was buying the shoes, now they giving me the refund in R10 and silver coins mind you the shoes were R400 just imagine how many notes and coins I had to put on my wallet, and I always prefer to use my card and so I had this heavy wallet full of couns and R10 YOH! I still looked at the lady as she throws some of the coins at me angry.

I asked myself if is it because of the color of my skin because while I was on the queue they were busy assisting white customers with a smile but oh yeah the ***** changes the mood now.

I've heard a lot of bad stories about woolworths and very bad customer service stories. What's shocking its not the first I was being mistreated in that shop.

And so I went to Foschini and they really assisted.

Woolworths is such an embarrassment in the retail industry, they need to check themselves. And oh I will make sure that non of my family members will ever buy from Woolworths stores.
