Woolworths - your misinformation violates my rights as a consumer

<p>As a mother and a doctor, I like to make informed decisions about what we do and don't eat. Two ingredients I don't give to my children due to the mounting evidence linking it to cancer formation are sodium nitrate and sodium nitrite. These ingredients are found in almost all cured / deli meats. I was thrilled to find that the Woolworths Sliced Smoked Chicken had none of it in! I continued giving that to my family as a nitrate-free option. I was horrified, when months later, I bought a bigger bulk pack of the same cold meat. Bigger pack meant bigger label - andon the bigger label was clearly listed sodium nitrate and -nitrite. I proceeded to send an email complaint to Woolworths. A few weeks later I received a R150 voucher from Woolworths, with a generic email that hardly even contained an apology at all. That was on 3 May. Nothing has changed - the label is still incorrect, and it is more than a month later. Shame on you, Woolworths! </p>
