Woolworths uses false instore advertising to sell products under false pretenses, bait and switch

I don't know how often I've been caught out by outdated WW promotions. They put buy 2 and get x off or buy 3 and get a percentage off only to find that at the till the promotion is already expired but the shelves have not been updated. If you're alert, you will spot this and the till operator and their supervisor correct the amount. But what if there are two errors? Sometimes you leave the store after a distraction and you've been shortchanged or fooled into buying something you wouldn't through false advertising. Last Thursday while being at WW Sunset Beach, I saw the 3 for 2 pizza promotion sign in the pizza fridge section. Another item had buy two get R20 off. I purchased these only to find there was no pizza promotion, it had expired the day before, so I returned the items but I did not check the other two. Guess what, I was charged full price for the other two items two, which I would not have bought otherwise. I contacted WW but have received no reply. It is so important to check your slip every time especially with WW because they run so many promos but upon end of these, they often don't update their on shelf prices. This often benefits them. It is a shameful practice.
