Woolworths unapologetically bad customer service - Canal Walk
So here’s my really really bad experience yesterday with Woolworths Canal Walk.
I was looking for a specific bedding in Queen size and asked the lady in the homeware department to assist. She went to the little computer and came back and said ‘Woolworths waterfront has 9 x queen size sets in the bedding you are looking for ,we currently don’t have any’ . I said okay I will go there right now and thanked her for her assistance. When I got to the V&A waterfront branch I checked the shelves and no Queen size was available so I sought the assistance of the nice lady working in this particular department . I told her what the lady told me at Canal walk and she reponded :Well that’s not the procedure , she should have called me to check if it is on the floor’ . My blood already started to boil as I drove all the way from Canal walk to V&A only to find that the bedding is ‘not on the floor’ . The lady then told me they have in the stock room but can only get it out by tomorrow morning for me. - this I don’t understand how can a depleted item be left in a stock room if there are none ‘on the floor’. Well I told her to leave it there’s no way I’m coming back in the morning I already got messed around by the revolting customer service and unapologetically inconvenienced by a seemingly full stock room and an empty floor.
I have been a loyal customer for many years, I even use only use Woolies decor for my property development projects for staging, spending over 200K per year in cash with this store and this is what I get!
You can be assured I will close my account and divert my buying power elsewhere , It may be a drop in the ocean but at least I will not be supporting a store who has the audacity to make me drive around unnecessarily especially during this pandemic.
I think you are severely inconveniencing customers with this ****py inventory system and bad communication protocols.
I’m done !!!
