Woolworths shenanigans

There are a few issues I would like to address with Woolworths: I would like to start with the less significant to the most significant matters. 1) I have enjoyed certain Woolies food products, but these have just disappeared off the shelves for no rhyme or reason. I have been to quite a few stores and when I enquire from the various managers, they pull their apps out of their pockets and claim this product never existed, because it is "not on their apps"! Do they have such a limited knowledge of their product range??? Well, maybe I just imagined eating this product for the last year or so. My goodness. I also reported this on the Woolworths site and received prompt responses about the fact that they would respond, but to date... you guessed it...NO RESPONSE!!! 2) This company is wealthy, but extremely stingy. Often, they will sanitize your hands with their sprays or sanitize the trollies, etc. so that you pick up a basket or take a trolley that is totally drenched, but only the top part of the trolley or basket is wet..., obviously the Covid virus does not adhere to the other areas of the trolley or basket your hand touches. Also, very seldom are there any sanitary wipes available as it is "too expensive" for Woolworths to give these wipes to their customers. (These words were from the assistant who sanitized our hands and could not supply the wipes). Am I the only one who sees the irony in this? One of the wealthiest yet also stingiest companies with some very high prices??? I am sure Frank Woolworth, who started this company many years ago, will be turning in his grave with distaste as these were not the values he held dear. 3) And now, the most significant: I am shocked that Woolworths in their desperation for more money coming in, will actually get young people (call centre people) to continuously call or prey on elderly and infirm people to offer them all sorts of deals, i.e. a new card, etc. They do not check marital status and when one spouse dies, as my mother did, they harassed my dad who ended up in hospital deathly ill. I had to give the Woolworths "hound" (attorney??) the cardiologist's details before they would refrain from harassing my dad. My dad knew nothing about this "deal" which was negotiated with my mother whilst she had cancer and was receiving treatment. They were married in community of property which many elderly people are, and when she died my poor father was harassed endlessly. I was always a person who had a Woolies card - that was BEFORE the introduction of their credit card. Often, I have been called to yet again use their cards with all sorts of phony promises and deals. Sorry, but "no, never". I only use my credit card for travel and nothing else. To Woolworths and to any company that checks on these matters: How dare you, as a company, prey on the sick, the elderly and the infirm??? Shame on you. And to whoever can check on this from a credit stand point … is this behavior acceptable in terms of the Credit Act? This company preys on the weak, vulnerable, ******** and in some cases cause them such distress that could possibly lead to their deaths??? Shame on you, Woolworths, shame on YOU! Finally, a big thank you to Hello Peter for allowing me this platform on which to deal with my anger issues i.t.o how my parents have been treated in the past. It is the best therapy ever.
