Woolworths Sandton City. Beyond customer service!

Just finished my monthly shopping at Woolworths Sandton City. We are very often quick to point out bad service and hardly ever recognise exceptional service.

When we were paying for the bill, the checkout lady, Rosikiwa noticed that the price of some batteries we bought were not correct as per the price displayed on the shelf. I had no idea that the price was wrong and would have paid it being none the wiser.

Rosikiwa was adamant that the price was incorrect and called over the manager. She had a quick conversation with her manager and within minutes I was given the batteries at no charge with an apology for the inconvenience.

I told them both it is not a problem and it is just a mistake that could have happened to anybody. They both stood firm and insisted that Woolworths has the policy that if the price is not the same as advertised on the shelf, the customer gets that item for free.

I felt very bad for taking the batteries but unbelievably humbled and blessed by this gesture!

Well done Woolworths. And well done to your incredible staff who hold your name up high and follow through with your company ethos of outstanding customer service!
