Woolworths sandals warranty rejected

I bought sandals last year via a lay-bye at Woolworths Zevenwacht which I took it out End of August, in December the shoes started opening up in front then also had a protruding sharp piece underneath.

Went to claim my 6months warranty at Woolworths Zevenwacht however I was turned back as the sandals are no longer in stock and I don’t have the slip,mind you when one does a lay bye you’re unable to use rewards cards but they strictly want and ID of which they can’t use to trace the purchase. This means I have a shoe that I adore dearly but will have to throw it as woolies can’t account for it,very disappointed.
