Woolworths sale......not sale

I went to Woolworths Galleria yesterday afternoon, and was very happy to see some lovely toiletries on sale, and as I have a friend who has a birthday today, i took two items. On was marked R 129 and one R 109, perfect, gift sorted. So, I go through to the food section to get my daily fruit and veg, something I do EVERY single day at Woolies. At the till, the cashier tells me that these items are not on sale. Only from today. Excuse me? They have sale stickers on, they were place right by the main entrance so you can not miss them. How can they NOT be on sale? I went back to where I found them, NO indication that they are NOT on sale. I am sorry to say, but I think it is all wrong. I did see sections of items cordoned off, and people working there, but took no note, as it was clothing. These items were placed whap bang in the middle of the entrance, not to be missed. I feel cheated by Woolworths South Africa. Do not display items with sale tags on if they are NOT FOR SALE!!
