Woolworths rotisserie chicklets
For Christmas lunch last year I ordered 4 rotisserie chickens from Victory Park Woolworths Food. They were pre-packed for me, so I just took them sight-unseen, as I was in a bit of a hurry. Back home I realised that they seemed really small, but I used two of them for the lunch and put the other two in the fridge. The following day I weighed those two, and they came in at about 700g each. Now I don't know what they are supposed to weigh, so I took two that I had previously frozen out and they both came in at around 1kg! I took back the two unused chickens, and spoke to the manager. To his credit he refunded me for all four chickens without hesitation.
I thought this may have just been a once-off, but today I was at the same store again, and I noticed visually obvious significant differences in size, and actually then hand-picked my two chickens, as one of two I was at first given felt quite light.
Now, especially from Woolworths, on a food item with a fixed cost and that isn't weighed, I would expect a high level of consistency. There clearly is something amiss with the quality control of their supplier that needs to be addressed.
