Woolworths return policy

On the 26 of November I went to Woolworths in Sanlam centre Parow where I was returning some items to the shop the cashier who was assisting me wanted a slip for the items bought and unfortunately I had lost the slip then the manager who was there stated that unfortunately they won’t be able to take the items without a till slip. To my surprise according to Woolworths policy you can return an item that is in a sealable condition even if you have no slip, however the manager who is a man that assisted me said they won’t be able to take the items.. I would like Woolworths to explain their policy about returns and also explain if the item is not stocked at a closer store near you is there a policy that says you must return the items at a store that stock the specific item.. the manager at Woolworths did not handle the situation according to Woolworths policy and I would like Woolworths to rather fix their policy as it contradicts with what the manager says
