Woolworths refusing to sell clothing aged 2 or 3 years even though Government has said clothing 0-36 months are essential goods.

I was at Woolworths in Eikestad Mall, Stellenbosch, this morning to buy some winter pjs/track pants for my 2 year old son. I spoke to the manager on duty, and he told me they are only selling up to 24 months. I told him that government has said that clothing up till 36 months can be sold. He said the brief they received at Woolworths was to only sell up to 24 months, and only baby essentials, not fashion goods. 36 months is 3 years old and I told the manager as much. Then to add insult to injury they mostly had girls baby clothes and very little for boys. Why is Woolworths not following the Governments directive to sell clothing for children aged 0 to 36 months? I went to Ackermans in Eikestad Mall, and was able to buy my son pjs and winter clothes aged 2 to 3 years. Why is Woolworths so obtuse - whatever happened to customer service? Parents of babies/toddlers just want them to be able to wear warm clothes now that the weather is becoming colder. We are not looking for "fashion" items. We are looking for warm pjs, warm trackpants, fleecy tops that can keep our little ones warm. I am very disappointed in Woolworths.
