Woolworth's - Poor services & Poor Treatment
Good day im in need of help. I have a woolworth's store card and a credit card, i started encountering problems when i didnt make payment for the full amount for a particular month. I do however try to make payment, half of the asking amount if im not able to pay the full amount asked, woolworth's does not acknowledge any payments that aren't the full amount, according to them you did not make payment period. I have been having financial difficulty, i called the institution to try and make payment arrangement's with them, They however advise that its either you pay what they want and what they ask you to pay or they hand you over to their lawyers. they say their rules are if you default on payment in two months then you will be handed over, as Mentioned your half payment is not acknowledged therefore you have not made a payment. ive tried to negotiate with them on numerous times but no luck. instead i got calls from them more then 6 times a day, i got threatened to say that they will call me every day when ever they want till i pay them back their money. 1. i sent an email to woolworth's payment department twice and not once did they respond or call me to say they acknowledge the receipt of my email and work on a way forward. 2. as far as a know creditors are suppose to try and get a response from the consumer after 3 months of non payment. what happens in the instances you paid half but payment is not accepted? 3. Credit law says i have rights but i feel like woolworths has violated my rights 4. credit law also says that the creditor may call me during the agreed times to call me, but with them that is not the case i get calls all day long i cant concentrate at work because im always on the phone talking to woolworths people that threaten me at the end of the day. 5. i had a payment arrangement to pay R300 on both accounts by yesterday, ork was hectic but planned to pay the money this morning @woolies at Ghandi square, before i could even do that i get a call from woolworth's lawyers telling me i have been handed over. so that means even if i had paid it wouldn't have made a difference because they had already planned to hand me over. The level of service i have received from Woolworth's is poor and upholding, all the threats and miss treatment. Is it because im Black? Whites are treated differently and i have witnessed this treatment from Woolworth's hence i ask. 6. they went on my credit profile and updated the installment amount from R400/R500 to R1400 or so, without informing me of the changes, Now my credit profile is poor, this is one of the many things they have done without my consent.
