WOOLWORTHS POLICIES?
I frequently shop online with my Woolworths storecard and find it much less hassle than going into a store and standing in queues. My card recently broke and I app**** for a new card which was delivered to one of the branches. After uplifting the new card and signing for same I tried to make a purchase online but it did not allow me to do so as there was an notification that popped up saying that "the card could not be authorized". I called the customer care centre and was advised that since this card is new hence I need to make at least 5 purchases IN STORE before I can use it to purchase online. I tried explaining to the lady that this isn't a new account and just a replacement card but she says that this is their policy. Now all the items I have chosen (which were on sale) I need to go look for in a store. I just find this extremely frustrating and for busy people who don't have time for this it is most inconvenient. If this was a brand new account, it would understandable but surely this card is linked to my account and it is visible that I have transacted multiple times with the card, both in store and online?? I am extremely disappointed with the service and now most of the items that I wished to purchase are no longer available as stocks are limited on sale items...Woolworths please up your game!!!
