WOOLWORTHS ONLINE SHOPPING..... VERY BAD SERVICE
Until recently I was a regular "bricks and mortar" customer at Woolies in the Cape Town area. I recently decided to purchase a sizable quantity of bedding for my guesthouse both from their Blue Route and online stores. The online purchase was delivered minus a few items, which was noted. That is when the shopping experience descended into poorly communicated, poor-retail behaviour. My wife tried,a number of times, unsuccessfully to resolve the short delivery, with either a sourcing of the products,so that they matched the rest of the purchase or if not,a credit would have to be passed .This started on the 28 November 2017 and it is now the 19 December 2017......no communication from Woolworths......my wife went into their Cavendish store today, the 19 December and it is still not resolved. I phoned their Help Desk, waited 20 minutes for a response and spoke to a helpful Warren, but he could not resolve the problem today, as he is not at work tomorrow. So....no solution in sight and no follow up.....what has gone so terribly wrong with customer service at what is one of the doyens of retail in South Africa???? "I, fortunately, had an exactly the opposite experience at Yuppie Chef, today, where a product had become non obtainable and a credit was passed immediately.....no fuss, just helpful service with immediate results The content of this complaint is being passed onto Granville de Villiers at Woolies Head Office as a last resort. If you are going to compete in an online world, successfully, you have to be good, very good...that was not my experience with Woolies online
