Woolworths Online Order NIGHTMARE

I placed an online order with Woolworths on 20 November 2021. They were having a special "buy two and get one free". So I order chuckles and bras - the system logs it as six items. I choose my delivery date and time. I pay for my order. My order is confirmed. It says 6 Items have been shipped. On the 27 November 2021 at 08:02, I get an SMS confirming delivery. DELIVERY DOES NOT HAPPEN. The next morning I get the delivery. The order is not complete. I give it a day or two, because maybe there has been a mix up. I DO NOT receive ANY communication from Woolworths. So today, 01 December 2021 at 11:59, I call the call center number on the invoice to see where my missing items are.

I was told by the call center agent that the rest of my order had been cancelled. NOT BY ME AND NOT ON MY AUTHORITY. Again - I received NO communication from Woolworths about this. I was given some ******* story about a COVID outbreak at the Eastgate store; which later changed to "they have no stock." Are you telling me that in the WHOLE COUNTRY theRE is absolutely NO stock of Chuckles and bras. What *******!

I also paid part of my order with a gift card (I had been saving cash and gift card for black Friday specials). Part of my refund gets paid to my gift card. AGAIN I RECEIVED NO COMMUNICATION ABOUT THIS FROM WOOLWORTHS. What does a normal person do when they are finished paying with a gift card. It goes in the bin. So how does a refund on a that gift card help me?

Eventually the call center agent tells me I can go to a Woolies and fill in a lost form and then they will issue me a new gift card with the refund. I then ask about my other items and I am told that it is my loss. EXCUSE ME. I ask to talk to someone else that can help me. The call center agent very sarcastically asks me if Id like to talk to another agent. I told him id like to talk to his manager. He puts me on hold for FIFTY MINUTES and then proceeds to hang up on me.

I'm sorry but this is not my fault. As I tried to explain to the call center agent, had Woolworths contacted me and told me about the outbreak at Eastgate or no stock at Eastgate (not sure which one it is, as I was given both excuses), I would have cancelled the entire order and driven to an actual store to get the specials in person. This was a saving of nearly R500. No, I'm sorry Woolworths, but you guys need to sort this out. I want what I ordered and what I was notified was shipped. You can not tell me that there is no stock anywhere in this country. This was not my fault. I received NO COMMUNICATION from you guys about stock issues and I definitely DID NOT give you the go ahead to just cancel part of my order.
