Woolworths not honoring return policy

They refuse returning an item of 1499..they say its high in price and it is a branded item. I have been in 3 stores. The policy does nt say anything about branded items and high prices.. It was a gift. They claim a store can make their own rules with regards to returning.. So it means the conditions on the back of the till slip are lies.
