Woolworths Meat is shocking and other products heading that way

#BlackFriday This was a difficult review to write, and I cannot discredit them for so much that they do at such a prestigious level. Their produce is always fresh and nicely packaged. If something breaks in the store they are there to help and get you a new one ASAP. Their clerks are the best to deal with and always smiling. Why the 1 star then? They are putting seed oils into all of their products now. These have been proven to be toxic to humans yet it's on all their product ingredients lists. I am sure I will get someone from Woolworths saying "we comply to standards and these are approved", but that doesn't make it right. Just because something is allowed now that doesn't mean it should be used when we know it is harmful. In addition to this, their meat is beautiful but inedible. I cannot believe the amount of ingredients they put in something as simple as biltong, boerewors, sausages, even their bacon has an ingredients list as long as my finger. Meat doesn't need 20 ingredients. This wouldn't be a problem however all of the junk they are putting into our foods has no business being there. I don't need dextrose, or sugar, or sunflower oil, flour or anything else in everything. Unfortunately the range me and many people who follow a healthy lifestyle is quickly dwindling, as I find less and less I can eat from them. These ingredients along with anything else that has no reason to be there need to be removed in order to have a good product. I can make boerewors with 3 ingredients, meat, natural whole spices and vinegar. Biltong uses the same 3 ingredients. The Woolies boerewors ingredients list will shock you if you read it. As will most of the other meat, the burgers make me want to scream when I see the poison in them too. Woolworths, do me a favour. Do not ask for a transaction to list as this is about your products, not a transaction, even though I am a regular customer. Secondly, spare us the "it's within the regulations for food" story, that doesn't make it right.
