Woolworths managers failed to inplement the rules according to their policies squedules

Woolworths has a scan right policy that states that : ‘if an item scans at a different price then the marked price, the first item shall be given to you for free, if more than one item is bought, the ones there after will be charged at the lower price.’ Today, Tuesday 24 November 2020, before 11h00, I went to Eastgate Mall Woolworths to buy a pan for my mother; the pan was marked R799, it scanned R829. Before the transaction was completed, I asked for the item to be given to me for free as the national Woolworths policy states. The Fashion manager : Seirau-Jane Maluleke came to the party and refuse to give me the item for free! She said two of the same items should be bought, in order for the scan right policy to apply. Very upset and very embarrassed I left the store to go phone head office.. Last week at Woolworths Eastgate the same thing happened. This time I bought a pan for myself marked at R1599 which scanned R1699. The home ware manager : Michael Mloyiso refused to adhere to the policy schedule, he reckons that the transaction should be completed and paid for in order for the scan right policy to apply! The same thing happened at Fourways last week, where I was refunded and the manager gave me the item for free! Today I felt hurt and embarrassed, the Woolworths staff **** to me, I felt humiliated, upset and angry and I left the store without getting what I originally went to the store for! How can three different managers have 3 different ways of implementing the same policy? How can 2 different managers in one store have two different outcomes of the same policy? Are these employees of Woolworths trained to look for reasons not to adhere to the policies? Maybe Woolworths has got all of South Africa fooled? They put policies in place to make the company look good, but will do anything to try to get excuses, so that they don’t loose money, or, are the managers trained to manipulate the system, take advantage of the clients rights and above all, insult the customers intelligence? I want the cashier and managers to be updated on how to : Learn to deal effectively with a client complaint. People skills how to handle a client without being rude.. How can the fashion manager handle a dispute in a different department.? They all can phone to apologize for their incompetence that caused me shame and embarrassment. They can give me the items rightfully owed to me and to make up for wasting my time and increasing my stress levels, they can offer me and additional R2000 Woolworths voucher. I am very angry and very upset! I am sick and tired of companies taking advantage of loyal shoppers.!
