Woolworths incorrect pricing results in higher prices charged

I purchased a sweater from Witchery collection at Woolworths Sandton City, the price on the garmet was marked as R999.00 it rang up at R1007, the cashier did not pick this up or inform me of the price differential, upon reviewing my slip I immediately went to customer services. The manager then told me due to the VAT increase all items marked on the floor was allowed to reflect a difference in price, and refused to refund me stating woolworths had 2 months to inact the price change. I then googled the change in VAT and it has been 2months also why are there not signs in the stores still informing customers of the fact that the stores prices are inaccurate. This is false advertising. Had this been my only incident I would not be complaining. I went to the Mall of Africa and in total all my duvet cover and pillow case purchases where rung up at almost R300 more than marked! I use to trust that Woolworthd was a trustworthy and transparent brand, but now the brand is tarnished in my mind. It feels as though customer service is not a priority and for sucha a small differntial in pricing....also how many other people are being ****** because they don't review their slips. Also where is the policy that compensates customers for having been a victim of incorrect pricing. The injustice of it all has now made me return my purchases totalling R6000 for the bed linen and R3000 for items purchased from Witchery. I would now rather go to Truworths, boardmans or Edgars and buy items that are correctly priced!
