Woolworths Gateway peeling bag from Country Road

Hello Peter, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a Country Road bag I purchased approximately two years ago from Woolworths Gateway. Although I have owned the bag for two years, it has hardly been used and has remained in very good condition overall. Recently, when I intended to start using it again, I discovered that the outer material had started peeling significantly. I returned the bag to the store and explained the issue. However, I was informed that the peeling is my faults without providing further clarity. I respectfully disagree with this conclusion, as my other bags stored under the same conditions have not experienced similar peeling or deterioration. Given the limited use of the bag and the nature of the defect, I believe the peeling may be due to a material or manufacturing fault. I therefore requested either: a refund, a replacement, or permission to exchange the item for another bag of similar value. Unfortunately, my request was declined after the store’s investigation. I would appreciate it if this matter could be reviewed again in line with the Consumer Protection Act, particularly regarding the reasonable durability and quality expected from a product of this nature.
