Woolworths Foods
I ordered an online order of food on 31 March. The only time slot that they had open for delivery was Tuesday 21 April. Yesterday I received a call from a driver to say that he had my delivery from Woolworths but he was in the Strand and he couldn't find Elgin. I told him that he had to go over Sir Lowry's pass to get to Elgin. he said that he would have to go back to the store because he didn't think that Elgin was in the area that he was allowed to travel to. I told him that I had received a text message from Woolworths the day before which gave the order number and said that my order would be delivered that day I didn't hear another word from either he or from Woolworths. This morning I phoned Woolworths to ask about what had happened to my order. I spoke to a extremely friendly and helpful lady Rolene Mathys. She said that unfortunately, I would have to reorder as the driver had taken my order back to Woolworths and that they were going to refund the money to my account. I blew my top and told her that it was unacceptable that I had placed my order on the 31st and had not only had a long time to wait for my order to get to me, but not through no fault of my own that I had to reorder and have to wait longer for my order to be delivered. I also explained to her that both my husband and I are over sixty, and being at a vulnerable age for catching Covid 19, we rely on online deliveries. Rolene went to speak to her manager and her manager said said that I could reorder and I will receive my delivery tomorrow. However, when I reordered I had to click the nearest delivery date - 30th - after lockdown. I have also had to pay again! if you are offering online shopping then get it right and let your pensioners take precedence. Cheryl Robertson
