Woolworths food waste food in this economic crises

I am very dissapointed in Woolworths Foods SouthDowns, Centurion Branch. Everyone is aware of the economic crises, water shortage and farmers on the news losing 4500 chickens every day due to the draught. As we were standing at the roasted chicken and pie section I noticed that one of the employees was busy making chicken and avo sandwiches using the already roasted chicken. She took the chicken and removed both the wings and drumsticks and threw it in the dustbin only using the chicken breast for the sandwiches. I was shocked about the amount of chicken that was going to waste. I am very dissapointed and loved Woolies but I am not sure if i want to support Woolies anymore if they waste food like this. There are so many people without food or children shelters with limited food resourses. Woolies is one of the most sucessfull businesses and this might not effect them economically but it is disturbing to see and dissapoint customers. I really question woolies's values now.
