Woolworths financial services shockingly poor communication and zero customer support or feedback
I cannot draw statements online and I cannot pay for Woolworths orders using my Woolies card. I simply get the same message "This service is not available". No matter how positive I feel about Woolworth's products and quality, their financial services are so hopelessly inefficient that the frustrations are enough for me to want to close the account. I cannot pay my online orders with my Woolies card (and yes, I did try to reload it as a new card, and it is not expired), so I am using my Nedbank card, which is accepted on the Woolies online app. I cannot access my financial statements ever. It is not a service available online like it should be, and when I phone the numbers provided, I get cut off every time, without exception. I have phoned several times, and nobody could help, but they all put my calls through to "the relevant department", and each time, the line was cut off. Woolworths should not call itself a financial institution if one cannot reach the relevant department to report the card not linking (after trying repeatedly to make contact) or have every call dropped so far this week, and if they cannot provide a way of accessing one's statements.
Today, I phoned again, and the consultant wanted to divert my call again, I told him if he does that, I will be cut off. I asked if there is anyone else I can speak to. He insisted impatiently that there is no other route, and proceeded to forward my call despite my pleas. As always, the call was dropped after it rang for a few seconds. There is no other recourse offered, hence this poor rating. Woolworths has done nothing one would expect from a financial institution: activating or re-entering a credit card for online shopping (card is active, but online order won't accept it), nor offering any way to access statements. My hands are tied, and nobody could advise me on how to address this beyond the call center and their generic but useless lines used to appease customers.
