Woolworths Financial Services deceives customers
Woolworths sends SMS's from "Nationwide Recovery Services", who on the phone call themselves "DEBT COLLECTORS" with a registered credit service provider number. However It seems they are not an independent company (having an e mail address at Woolworths) but actually Woolworths Financial Services in disguise. Woolworths thereby deceive their customers into thinking their account is somehow in arrears (when it isn't) and with DEBT COLLECTORS and to pay. When phoning them, they say it is not a credit control issue SMS at all, just a gentle "reminder" The question is why does a reputable brand like Woolworths practice customer deception by hiding behind a "DEBT COLLECTOR" label "Nationwide Recovery Services" and send reminders for amounts that are not even in arrears. A simple "Woolworths (not Nationwide Recovery Services) would like to remind you your account payment is due on ...." might be acceptable (not to me when you can put ypur amounts due ito your cellphone) but prefereable is no offensive SMS's at all, especially not from an alleged DEBT COLLECTOR, which is just Woolworths in disguise.
