Woolworths financial services

This review is for Woolworths financial services, not for the retail section. I really didn't want to go this route at all, but I am so irritated with this whole scenario that I am left little choice but to complain. Woolworths financial services contacted me to offer me a credit card to which I accepted. They said they would run a credit check on me to see if i qualify and I did in fact qualify. They asked me where I would like to pick up my credit card and I said the Cresta branch. I went to Cresta and they said they could not print out the cards as they had no magnetic tape left. So...I went to mall of the South. They requested ID, proof of residence and a payslip which I duly gave them. I was given my card. Yay! Awesome! I proceeded to happily use my credit card and the first monthly instalment came off with no problem. Everything was peachy. Next thing, I get an SMS stating that a block has been put on my credit card as I have not supp**** the correct documentation. So I duly contact them and they say the proof of residence is not good enough. Please bare in mind, I live on a plot. We do not get post. They stated that the reason they cannot accept my proof of residence is because it is a delivery note and they need a statement. So.... I get a statement and send it to them. THEN they say no, they cannot accept that as it has to be a utility bill, or a cell phone statement . Oh they also point out that they cannot accept it as the spelling of my name is incorrect THEY ALSO HAVE MY NAME SPELT INCORRECTLY BY THE WAY! They won't accept a bank statement with my physical address on it either as they say they cannot accept it as it is an ABSA bank statement. (Seriously) They also wont accept a payslip that has my proof of residence on it. Once again I explain nicely (although I am getting irritated with this) that I don't get post. Eventually they send me a woolworths affidavit that my spouse must fill out and get stamped by the police / commissioner of oaths to state that I do actually reside at this address. My spouse fills it out, takes it to the police station where they sign the affidavit and stamp it. I scan it and send it back to the FICA department. I get a reply from them and guess what?? They wont accept it!! Why?? The reason that they give is because the constable that signed the affidavit did not write his full name and surname!!!! He gave his initial and his last name and signed his signature and stamped it with an official SAP stamp!! All I can say is how childish and petty. I feel as if I am being toyed with by this department. My frustration levels are through the roof with them. Not only am I inconvenienced, but my husband is inconvenienced as well as he is the one who has to run up and down to the police station. In all honesty I don't think I will ever recommend them as a financial institution to anyone, and if I hear of any one wanting to get a credit card from them I will likely advise them against it. I am so unhappy.
