Woolworths delivery times and good old customer service
Food delivery was booked for yesterday afternoon between 14:00 and 17:00. Understandable there may be many deliveries and deliveries may run late. If this was the first time, it would probably not have been such an issue. But is it too much to expect a staff member from Woolworths to contact you do advise that deliveries are delayed and that your delivery may be delivered almost an hour later than the booked time? Is it just assumed that you will be at home and have the luxury to sit and wait for the delivery? Especially as you then have no indication what time the delivery will actually be made. Or is it just another sign that proper customer service is no longer a priority for the larger retail stores. Woolworths also has the highest delivery fee from all the retail stores who currently deliver, yet a phone call to confirm that you will be available to accept the much later delivery, is apparently just too much to ask for. Apparently you just need to be grateful that the delivery was actually made.....
