Woolworths deceased persons' account procedure

My Mom passed away on 22 June 2018. We contacted Woolworths to find out what the procedure is to close and pay up a deceased persons' account. We were given the balance and submitted documents in store at Woolworths Welkom. I emailed customer service on 26 June 2018 to ask for feedback. I received an email saying they cannot help and to try financial services. On 18 July 2018 I emailed customer service again and called. I was given an email address. The account was handed over to Bham & Daya. I called the lawyers repeatedly and on each occasion was told that they would get back to me, but have heard nothing to date. I complained to Woolworths and received an email on 7 August 2018. They apologised and said it is with the lawyers. My Mom was a pensioner and whatever money she had went towards her funeral which cost R5000. Can Woolworths do the right thing and close this account as per request tell me about payment so that my Mom can rest in peace? The loss of a loved one is bad enough without companies being *********** and heartless. My Mom's Name and ID number: Bibi Madhi ********** 062080. Please do not send notifications to her cell phone as she is deceased and does not have it with her.
