Woolworths: David vs Goliath
How do you con people into coming to the store? Easy, you give them 'discount vouchers' and when they come to redeem them obviously you may end up buying more than just the discounted item(s). It would be great if you could actually find any of the items that are discounted. When you do find them (Woolworths Salted Butter), you will be told at the till that the Voucher on the phone-app is not the same as the item in your trolley. Phone app does not have a picture so you can not dispute this. So...this is what is going to happen: I am going to go to your stores at the busiest times on weekdays and weekends. Buy the 'Discounted' items...get to the cashier, have them ring everything up, give my vouchers on the phone and dispute each and everyone that they claim is not valid. By holding the cashier up I will frustrate those in the queue behind me, some will walk out the store and not complete their purchase, they will complain to you and to their friends and thus a chain reaction of dissatisfaction and subsequent brand damage and financial loss will be incurred by Woolworths. You have frustrated me for the last time with your **** advertising. Its time you learn what your customers can do.
