Woolworths customer service is a farce

Bought a box of basil from Woolworths in Hout Bay, which was full of worms and worm droppings. The manager organised a refund and said he would forward my complaint to Head Office. These are the emails I received from them: We would like to offer you an R100 Woolworths gift card, as gesture of goodwill for the time this has taken to resolve. It will be sent to you via sms within 5-7 working days. Upon receipt, please present this SMS together with a form of identification to your nearest Woolworths store in order to receive your gift card. This from Unathi Ratyela, Customer Care Consultant. Then when I complained about not receiving anything, another email came from Janine Floris, Woolworths Customer Service: We do apologise for the delay in response. We have requested for the sms to be resent to you. Guess what? It is now one and a half months later and still no SMS or contact from them. Hey guys, it's not that I desperately need R100, but I expect you to keep your promises!
