wOOLWORTHS "CUSTOMER CARE" NON-EXISTANT!

On Thursday, 9 May 19 and about 4pm, I was shopping at Woolworths Sandton. At the vegetable isle, I was pushing my trolley with my handbag hanging on the trolley clip and holding my cell phone. I bent to pick up baby marrows putting my cell phone in my bag and my bag touched my leg. I immediately knew that my cell phone was ****** by the two women standing near-by. I accosted them and walked with them to the middle of store, speaking very loudly that they had ****** my phone. No one from your staff came to my assistance, even though it was perfectly clear that something was going on. I called security while the two ******* stood by me, professing their innocence. Your security guard told us to stand where we were and left, doing absolutely nothing. The ******* gave me their phone and told me to call my number to see that my phone was not ringing on them, which I did. 10 minutes went by while I’m standing shouting at the ******* and your security guard was nowhere. At that time I called another security guard standing nearby who also left without doing anything!!!! The ******* walked to the exit very calmly and then the store manager, Ludewyk arrived. All he could say to me was that he was sorry……what pathetic attitude Woolworths has of its customers and their wellbeing! I asked Ludewyk to keep calling my phone as I thought that maybe because I was quick to catch them, they threw my phone between products. That’s exactly what happened. Another shopper picked it up. My phone was full of chocolate as one of the ******* was eating a promo cholate at the time and her hands were full of it. I got my phone back, no thanks to Woolworths and your security but have been harassed by the ******* as they had my number. I will never shop there again and will ensure all I know are aware of the Woolworths “customer care”. I WROTE THE ABOVE TO WOOLWORTHS WHOSE RESPONSE WAS ..... "We apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience caused. You may be assured that we have forwarded your concern to the relevant person to be investigated. If we can be of assistance to you in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us "
