Woolworths- Credit issue

I had an account with Woolworths and when I was employed and paid my account very well, unfortunately, I lost my job and could no longer pay. I endured calls every day of their staff asking me to pay and even after I told them I am unemployed they persisted.

I have since found employment and like a decent person made an arrangement with their collectors, Blake/. I paid up in December but my credit record still reflects that I owe them. I sent an email to inquire and I was told that they cannot remove anything and that my credit score will still reflect the debt.

Is this suppose to be the case? I don't understand why I had to pay if things are still the same. Can I please get clarity on this matter.
